Community Impact

Proudly Supporting our Communities

Personal service and financial support to deserving causes in our community is a guiding principle and part of our core values of stewardship and generosity. Serving others is a commitment deeply rooted in our individual and organizational beliefs. Programs we support encourage community service and civic participation. We believe those programs strive to meet kingdom objectives and, therefore, will have outcomes that have a lasting impact on our community and the world.

Stewardship

We embrace our calling to act carefully and responsibly with the blessings God has provided to each of us, both personally and as a firm. We are led by time-tested, foundational principles and scriptural instructions to manage the use of our time and financial resources wisely as we support our communities, along with other organizations with like-minded values and mission statements.

Contentment

By following God’s instructions as we conduct our financial planning and investment management practice, as well as our personal finances, we have a different worldview than some professionals in our industry. That different perspective gives us a high sense of contentment within our profession. This enhanced contentment also increases our confidence in our personal futures, and the future of our organization as well.

Generosity

With a higher sense of contentment and confidence comes the desire to follow God’s guidance for us by giving of our time, talents and financial resources for others. In addition to sharing these resources with our families and our churches, we share God’s blessings with our communities and other organizations with similar values to ours. It is our desire that our clients would be motivated to share from their financial resources as well, blessing their communities with the time, talents, and gifts that God has given them.

Below are a few of the organizations that our staff and/or our firm supports:

Carolina Creek Christian Camp – Scholarship Program

Carolina Creek is an independent, interdenominational Christian ministry dedicated to inviting guests to experience and know the love of Jesus Christ. Children, teens, and adults come as individuals, or with their churches or other groups, to engage in the beautiful setting on the Trinity River…to zip-line, climb, wakeboard, boat, fish, swim, jump, create, sing and play, all while being drawn to know, and be known by God. When kids take a break from the routine of their lives, turn off their screens, turn down the noise to get outside under starry skies, spend time with old and new friends, and loving, capable counselors, the change can lead to renewal.

National Multiple Sclerosis Society

The vision for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is bold: A world free of MS. Multiple Sclerosis is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. We support clients and friends in their participation in the BP MS 150 bike ride, a two-day fundraising bike ride organized by the National MS Society. The ride is the largest event of its kind in North America, with 13,000 cyclists, 3,500 volunteers, and countless spectators along the route and at the finish line in Austin. Our clients’ and friends’ participation raises funds to drive MS research forward faster and deliver services to those who face the challenges of MS every day so they can live their best lives.
